U Ye Myint established Shwe Yi Mon in 1989, starting with 200 acres of land as a means of engaging in local agricultural production and growing coffee. Shwe Yi Mon grows a mix of typicas (SL 34, SL 28) along with advanced Catimor varieties such as Costa Rica. Shade is provided by the macadamia trees. In addition to managing the farm, U Ye Myint has played a central role in developing the country's approach to producing and exporting specialty coffees. He established the Mandalay Coffee Group in 2014, bringing together farmers, processors, roasters and retailers to standardize coffee quality across the largest farms, as well as provide sustainable income for smallholder farmers in other regions such as Shan State, through the pre-financing and purchase of coffee cherries
In this coffee you will find sweet notes, grape, black cherry and vanilla.
(*) From Libis café we recommend grinding the right amount of coffee before preparing it, so you can enjoy the drink at its best. That is why we only offer it in beans, but if you want it ground, leave us a note in the cart box and tell us your type of coffee maker.
